Tori Cooper is a partner at Lexicon Strategies. A 2x Emmy nominated, award-winning journalist and California native, Tori has devoted the last decade of her life to sharing the stories of others and leaving lasting impacts on people through written and video media. With thousands of hours of on-camera experience, Tori has cultivated trusted relationships with powerful Georgia politicians on both sides of the aisle, Metro Atlanta police chiefs, city government officials, Fortune 500 companies, and the people of Atlanta.
Tori joined the Atlanta News First (CBS News) team in 2021 as a multimedia journalist, where she was tasked with shooting, producing, writing and editing her own stories for all evening newscasts. Tori quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted to wake up Atlanta every weekday as a full-time reporter on the morning newscast, showcasing her work and talents to thousands of loyal viewers daily. Through her hard work, Tori was later promoted to anchor weekends at Atlanta News First. Before calling Atlanta home, Tori worked as a reporter and news anchor in Denver, Colorado, Washington State, and Bakersfield, California, where she also experienced high levels of success.
During her tenure, she has covered an array of breaking news stories, severe weather disasters, political elections, crime, and sports championship wins all over metro Atlanta and in some instances, the country. Tori is well known in the Atlanta community for her distinct ability to cover homicide investigations and being involved with city leaders during crises. She specializes in providing media training, media strategy, corporate communications, marketing and branding, crisis communication and video storytelling.
Tori’s biracial upbringing allows her to connect with people from all over the world and thrive in any social setting with avenues for impact and influence. Currently, Tori has garnered over 30,000 followers on her social media platform which she created and continues to market on Instagram and TikTok. Tori has created her own trusted media database and network of reporters and journalists across the country that serves as a channel into every major news media outlet in Atlanta and beyond.
The building blocks of Tori’s success started on the soccer field. For 17 years Tori played soccer at a premier level that opened doors for her future. She received full-ride soccer scholarship offers to dozens of prestigious Division 1 soccer programs across the country, but found a home at the University of Georgia as a proud Bulldog, where she spent her freshman and sophomore years scoring goals on ESPN while excelling in the classroom in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Communication. After years of fighting in the SEC, Tori transferred to the University of Colorado, Boulder on a dueling full-ride Division 1 soccer scholarship where she was awarded the team Defensive MVP, and First-Team All PAC12. After college Tori had the opportunity to play professional soccer in the U.S. and in Barcelona Spain but turned those opportunities down to pursue her passion in Journalism.

Outside of work, Tori enjoys walking 8 miles at least three times a week, doing Pilates, listening to audiobooks, and traveling with friends and family.
